Safe – Fun -Fair

Rush Athletic believe that childrens soccer should be Safe and Fun for all participants and conducted in the spirit of fair play to all.

All children and young people who play soccer should be able to do so in a safe and enjoyable environment.

While doing so they should be protected from any form of abuse, be it physical, emotional, sexual, neglect or bullying.

The responsibility for protecting children lies with all adults involved in soccer.

Any concerns in relation to Child Welfare should be addressed to any of the two Rush Athletic FC Designated Child Welfare Officers or to the clubs Designated Liaison Person (DLP), our chairperson, Adrian Kelly.

They are:

Toni Byrne – 086 4047264

Oonagh Hanratty – 085 1140496

Adrian Kelly, DLP - 086 8321066

All of our coaches are required to complete a Child Welfare Course and apply for Garda vetting.

They must also read and agree with the FAI Child Welfare Safeguarding documents as laid out below.

Parents, please read the documents at the link below to familiarise yourself with the FAI policies on child welfare.

Thanks a million.

There are also some other documents worth reading on the website and it wouldn't be a bad idea to ask the parents to read the documents too.
