Under 8 Orange Balbriggan 8-4 Rush Athletic
An unusual loss for this squad saw them fight hard away to Balbriggan. Game was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests and the team played very well!
Under 8 Purple Laytown 1-1 Rush Athletic
A fantastic result from our 2nd under 8 team. The team put in the effort over the last few weeks while they were unfortunate to suffer losses and with a great goal from Quddus this week the team had their first draw - huge congrats to the team on their effort and hard work over the last few weeks.
Under 9 Swords Celtic 1-13 Rush Athletic
Teams are still being re-graded at this age and a scoreline like this shows they still need re-grading. Team played very well together and their passing and positional play was first class. Lots of scorers - Reece x 5, Guillermo x 2 Ruby x 2, Sam, Oran, Cathal & Josh
Under 10 Balbriggan 2-5 Rush Athletic
Sean got the first with a great long distance shot. Ryan made a few great saves to keep us one nil up. David scored our 2nd with another great shot from long range. Sean scored the 3rd. Balbriggan scored just before half time to keep them in it however David got his 2nd to put us four up. Some great defending from captain Dan M, Liam & Dan R. The midfielders worked hard with Conor, Sam, Immanuelle and Sean putting on a great display. David and Chris done great up front and David managed his hat trick but keeper Ryan was man of the match for his first half saves! Well done to the whole team!
Under 11B Rush Athletic 5-4 St Francis
A very tough game with St Francis only turning up with 8 players and we decided to be fair we would also play with only 8. Rush battled hard and deserved the win in this game with goals from Nathan, Matthew R, Ben, Josh & Callum. Well done to everyone in this well fought game!
Under 11D Rush Athletic 5-2 Kinsealy
Game started badly when a penalty was awarded against us and although Conor made a great effort it went into the back of the net. Rush didn't give up in this tough game and came out the better with goals from Josh x 2, Rafal x 2 & Tadhg. Well done to everyone
