Sad News – Robbie Costello – Former Club President has passed away
The Costello family have had a huge association with Rush Athletic F.C. in one capacity or another for most of our 40 year history. Robbie served as Club President for a term and also in the early years of the club was heavily involved. Robbie’s sons all represented the club in one form or another over the years. Pairc played Senior football for many years, Joe also played senior football and managed school boy teams, CJ managed the men’s senior team for 5 years winning many honours, coached/managed and help found the women’s senior team and is currently still coaching school boy football in the club and Ted has been a regular supporter of the club at all levels for as long as I can remember. Bobby just recently was managing right through to U18’s until last year.
Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time.
Robbie will be waked out Wednesday night and then straight to the graveyard on Thursday (no mass).
