Match Reports Sarurday 23rd November
Our Saturday SSG Results 23 November 2013:
U8Orange: Malahide United 3-2 Rush Athletic Futsal
A very good game and evenly matched - some great football on show by both sides. This was their first futsal game and they proved they can adapt.
Goal scorer: Oisin x 2
U8Purple: Balrath FC 9-4 Rush Athletic Futsal
We started out very well in this high scoring clash and could have scored more but luck wasn't on our side. Team put in a great performance in a high tempo game.
Goal scorers: Nathan, Gavin, Qudous and Noah
U9B1: Rivermount FC 2-1 Rush Athletic
This team were moved up two leagues this weekend and it was a great first half performance playing some excellent football and went a goal up. Rivermount scored but we reacted well and kept the shape. Second half was literally end to end action on a big nine aside pitch and the lads kept up the tempo. Rivermount scored again so we piled on the pressure and done everything bar score. Big step up in opposition this week and managers were very proud of all the players.
Goal scorer: Reece
U10B1: Swords Celtic 1-4 Rush Athletic
A super game with everyone playing very well. Played some fantastic football throughout the game and well deserved the win!
Goalscorers Sean x 2 & Chris x 2
U11B: Rush Athletic 2-1 St Itas Portrane
St Itas got this first goal in this high energy game and we reacted well and we were quick to grab an equaliser. The first half saw us with a lot of the possession but half time it stayed 1-1. Second half both sides came out fighting after their team talk and both sides were close on scoring again but it was Ben who got the winner with time running out. Look out for a write-up in the Fingal for both our under 11s.
Goal scorers Josh & Ben
U11D: Rush Athletic 3-1 Rivervalley Rangers
See pictures in group from Gary O Shaughnessy This was another fantastic game with Rush having a lot of the possession - Joel started out the scoring earlier and Rush went on to score again twice. Our defence was tested though time and time again but we held strong until the very end where Rivervalley's battling gave them their goal. Look out for write-up in the Fingal on Tuesday!
Goal scorers: Joel, Rafa & Tadhg
