Stephen McPhail

Currently with Cardiff City whom he captained in their great run to the FA Cup Final in the 2007/2008 season.

He has previously played with Leeds United, Millwall, Nottingham Forest and Barnsley. He also has played 10 times for the Republic of Ireland.

David McAllister

Currently signed to Shrewsbury Town in the English League One, whom he joined from Sheffield United in January 2013. We all wish him well here in Rush Athletic and will follow his progress closely.  Formerly of St. Patricks Athletic in the Airticity League of Ireland Premier Division. He had previously played with Drogheda United and Shelbourne where in 2009 he was named Player of the Year. David's youger brother Barry currently plays on Adrian and Derek's team.

David Worrell was capped at every level for the Republic of Ireland up to U21’s and played with Shelbourne, Blackburn, Plymouth Argyle, Dundee Utd and Dundee among others. He also played in the Republic of Ireland B Team alongside future internationals, Damien Duff, Robbie Keane and Richard Dunne.

Liam Kelly played with St. Patricks Athletic and Shelbourne and played in an FAI Cup Final.

 

Gareth Kelly played League of Ireland soccer with Home Farm and Shamrock Rovers, and in 2009/2010 managed the Rush U9’s who completed a League and Cup Double.

Paul Smith played for Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda Utd.

Vinny Whelan has in 2010 bagged an All Ireland Winners Medal with the Dubs U21 footballers. 

Claire Scanlon has played soccer in many corners of the globe, including England, Japan and the USA where she currently lives and works as a soccer coach. She has also amassed a very impressive fifty caps for the Republic of Ireland in the process.

Megan Nugent  has played and coached in the USA, and has won eight caps for Ireland.

Eoghan Dempsey while playing with Rush Athletic Under 16's, in 2011 became the first Rush Athletic player to win a Kennedy Cup Winners medal while still playing with the club. He was the right full on the NDSL team who defeated the DDSL to win the trophy for only the second time in the leagues history.

Erica Byrne while playing for Rush Athletic U18 girls team, was capped by the Ireland U16’s against England in November 2012. The following weekend she was representing Leinster in the Inter Provincials.  As of 2021, Erica is now playing for Bohemians FC in the Womens National League.

Izzy Atkinson  played youth football for Rush Athletic Football Club and the Metropolitan Girls' League Academy, before spending three years with Enniskerry FC. She signed for Women's National League (WNL) club Shelbourne in July 2017.

In February 2021, Atkinson signed for Scottish Women's Premier League club Celtic, a dream move as Izzy and her family are Celtic fans.

 

She won her first senior International cap  in a 3-1 friendly win over Portugal at the Estádio de São Miguel, Ponta Delgada, on 22 January 2018.[5]
